I have children of my own. They are beautiful, unique, full of curiousity, wonder and potential. They each need love, support and encouragement and a safe and secure environment to grow and develop – something that we (my wife and I) aspire to provide for them in our home in the North East of England. They each benefit from education and healthcare and live in a country where running water, sanitation and a working infrastructure are taken for granted. Who would deny any child these things. And yet…..there are literally millions of children fighting for daily survival on the streets of cities and towns in the developing world without anyone to turn to or look after them. Their rights have been denied them and their plight is all too often forgotten. I have been constantly inspired by the work of the charities below that work to bring hope to these street children, to give them a future and bring some light into their lives. Please take a moment to visit Uhuru, Casa Alianza and Toybox and see what a difference they make.
