For the past few years I’ve been performing concerts in the comfort of other folks homes. The concept of the ‘Living Room Gig’ is very simple: take a professional musician, provide a cosy corner in a friendly living room, invite a select audience, add some food & drink…… and you have the perfect evening out by staying in ! There’s some more information about what’s involved in organising the gigs below. But first………

So How Do I Book You & Organise A Living Room Gig ?
It’s simple. Send me an email at info@garethdavies-jones.com with the header “Live In The Lounge”, let me know the dates you’re looking for and I’ll get back to you with availability. I book Living Room Gigs throughout the year and especially on dates I’m looking to fill in between larger gigs. I also do 3 or 4 weeks in the year where I specifically go on the road just for Living Room Gigs.
Some Q&A’s
Q: Do I need to have a large house/room ?
A: Not at all….some of the best house gigs have been in small living rooms or flats. Even the smallest room with furniture moved around, tealights, cushions and dimmed lighting can become a wonderfully atmospheric venue.
Q: How many people can come ?
A: It’s up to you but in my experience between 15 and 30 people is best.
Q: How do you as the artist get paid ?
A: Guests are advised by the host of the suggested donation for the night. Generally £8-£10 per head is reasonable and so a minimum of 20 people makes it really viable for me to come and play. Less than that and we can still talk about it.
Q: Do you provide help with publicity/organising ?
A: Yes. I have downloadable flyers and posters along with a press release and biography that you can use as invitations and publicity. I’m happy to answer questions at any time about how to run the event and what’s involved.
